Total Mileage with HFB: 436.2

So thankful to be a part of this awesome group of people! I hiked a 400 mile stint on the A.T. in 2015 covering most of Virginia in 27 days. I have preferred the outdoors over indoors as long as I can remember! Though I am a Realtor today, I show almost as many trails as I do houses and I love every minute of it! When I'm not working or hiking, I'm at the gym, on my road bike or mountain bike, in a kayak, camping, or on my Harley. But one thing is for 97% sure...I'm outside! Oh! And I'm proud to have served our great country during 2008-2013 supporting OEF with 1st BN 8th Marines. Oorah, Semper-Fi!

I'll see you out there!

HFB'er Since 2018

I've been an HFB member for a bit over a year now and I can't say enough wonderful things about this group and its founder. Right from the get-go, I offered to be the sweeper for all Organizers leading the hikes I had the pleasure of being a part of and I've met some wonderful people along the way. As a bonus, I've made some lifelong friends to boot! :) I used to hike, kayak, camp, and pretty much anything outdoors, but then life got in the way. Now, I'm back doing those things and more!! It's a nice way to reboot in order to handle the stressful times life throws our way.

I live in the
Baltimore area and I plan on leading some hikes out my way near Howard, Carroll, and Balt. Counties. We'll hit some nice breweries in those areas as well. Happily, you will still see me on a lot of the Frederick Co. and VA hikes and more than likely we'll meet, and I'll welcome you with a hug. Along with all that fun, several members have expressed an interest in hiking with the young people in their lives, be it children or grandchildren. I will lead some Sunday hikes for kids accompanied by their adult called "Hike with Pints". I'm so looking forward to meeting you out on the trail!!!!

HFB'er Since 2017

I have led 7 HFB hikes so far. Quads of steel and high coolness factor.

I have had the pleasure of being with this fantastic group since nearly its inception. When not in the office you can find me on the trail. My goal is to through hike the AT in the next couple years.

HFB Leader Since October 2018
Total Mileage with HFB: 211

Hey guys! I'm Rachel, I started hiking with HFB in June of 2018 and after only a few months, I pestered Brandon so often to set up trips to some of my favorite trails that he made me a leader so that I could go wild and hike all over the place with this amazing bunch of people! I have logged 211 miles hiking with HFB!! I feel like Hike For Beer is my second family now! Since then, I've been increasing the distances of the hikes I'm leading/attending and loving every minute of it!!! I live to hike, camp, kayak, and just generally be in the great outdoors! I'm also a single mom to a wild child who is growing up to be quite the little hiker; he has done hikes up to 5.25 miles at only five years old. When I'm not working (in IT) or hiking, you can find me reading, working out in the gym, playing with my kiddo, or trying out new restaurants!

Love HFB from the beginning. I spoke with Brandon and helped launch HFB Virginia which is now HFB Next Step!

HFB'er Since July of 2019!

Led the first HFB kick-off hike in Colorado out of pure luck!  Met a great group and we had a blast! I am looking forward to meeting everyone that comes out to join our motley crew. Just moved to Colorado myself from Illinois but have fell in love with the mountains!

HFB'er Since mid 2018

Hey all!!
I'm a native Marylander pursuing my dream of becoming a log cabin dwelling mountain man.  I relocated to Boulder, CO in July for work. I live and breathe the outdoors. In my first month here I summited Green Mountain, Bear Peak, South Boulder Peak, and My first 14er Mt. Sherman. I am a former Firefighter/EMT with specializations in Tactical EMS and HazMat.

HFB'er Since August 2019

Just moved to North Carolina and was looking for hiking groups to meet people. Came across Hike for Beer NC but was disappointed to see no events. I decided to change that and here I am.

I grew up in Minnesota but decided the flat lands and arctic winters were not for me. Have lived in Colorado (at 9000 ft), Alaska, Chicago and Arizona before ending up in NC. I love the outdoors. I work from home and have been know head out for a hike during conference calls. Can’t wait to make some good friends through here!

Awesomeness takes Time!

Hike For Beer (HFB) is not a business, non-profit, or any other entity.
It is solely friends coming together to hike, and offer up that opportunity to others to join our group of friends!

Therefore, we deliver a deep and sincere THANK YOU to our hike organizers who selflessly give their time, patience, and effort into organizing all of these great and creative hiking combinations freely for us to enjoy! We know it can be a thankless and extensive behind-the-scenes task you all do, taking time out of your very busy days and lives, and so we thank you greatly!!!

From All the Organizers

Happy Trails!
